Chand Payne BA (Hons)

Chand is qualified in sociology.  She has a business background in retail management and distributive trades.  She has a Higher Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and an NVQ in Community Mental Health.  At present she is doing a Leadership Management Course.

Kim Spicer
Counselling manager

Kim has a background in nursing.  She has an MSc in psychodynamic counselling and training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. She has worked as a counsellor in higher education and in the NHS as well as in private practice.  Kim teaches a certificate course at Birkbeck College and is on the Diploma course at Highgate Counselling Centre where she also supervises.  She is at present studying for an MA in Organisational Consultation at the Tavistock Clinic.

Paul Moore
Advocacy Manager

Paul has been working in Mental Health Advocacy since February 2000 and has been the Manager at Mind in Barnet Advocacy since 2003.  Paul was a founding member of the Advocacy service at Broadmoor High Secure Hospital and had a special responsibility for patients from minority ethnic communities.

Paul is a former Mental Health Act Commissioner.  In his spare time Paul was responsible for bringing the first mental/human rights case to the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights.  Paul is a human rights Mental Health Consultant with the WHO (World health organisation).
