User Involvement Forum

Mind in Barnet believes that it is important to sustain a successful and thriving user involvement group.

Following the re-launch in 2008, the User Involvement Forum started off by focussing on things like communication within the services provided for service users and the social activities which the users would like in future.

The following quotes are from service users from recent MIB newsletters:

What is User Involvement?

  • To get more harmony between staff and users
  • So users can have a place to off load their grievances and express their feelings
  • Also a place to make suggestions from improvement of running of Mind in Barnet
  • The User Forum will be given encouragement for users to have their input in the running of Mind, including the Day Centre and will help us all to communicate well so we achieve a better future that will also help us to move forward in society

The User Involvement Forum are looking for new members to participate in the forum.

To become a member of the User Involvement Forum service users need to become a member of the Day Centre.
